Product Description
This sign measures 3 inches by 7 inches by 1/2 inch. It is made of natural pine; real wood. The finish is clear enamel. This sign looks alot better hanging on my front door than anything else I could have picked up in a store. No one has knocked since we put it up so I guess it is working fine! Be sure to pay attention to the dimensions, I was kind of surprised on how small the sign was after looking at it so much online

If you're tired of those constant solicitors - seriously, who still knocks on your door - it's such an invasion of privacy when you're relaxing at home with your family - but some people STILL go door to door trying to sell you stuff you don't want or need. SO, this sign is pretty and won't make your door look ugly when you get home and see it - but gets the message across to those you do not want knocking.

This "NO Soliciting" sign is very pretty (and passive-aggressive :) I ended up buying two for both doors at my house. Satisfied with my purchase.

I was getting 2 to 3 knocks on my door a weekend after buying my first home. I thought I was going to go mad. For some unknown reason my local hardware stores didn't carry any No Soliciting signs.
I'm glad they didn't, because this is much nicer looking than the typical generic looking sign. And it's effective! I've seen several people walk up my driveway, then stop & walk away when they see it.
I do recommend treating it if it will be exposed to weather. It's raw wood and I have a few mildew spots on mine after a few weeks of hanging on the door.

I was initially hesitant to take the steps to put a sign up. I didn't want our family to be perceived as "unfeeling" or "unsympathetic" or as "Not Supporting the Community". The bottom line is we have our Chosen Charities, which we have researched and have supported for many many years. There is no guarantee when someone stops by your house, that they are part of a legitimate charity or organization. This was our biggest issue & was one of the main reasons we purchased the sign. This sign seems to convey the request in a gentler, kinder way, which I really like .. But it still gets the message across. We haven't had any unwelcome solicitors since we installed this sign.
