Like this vacuum very much. It is so much quiter than other vacuums. I can use the Miele vacuum late at night and do not have to worry about the noise disturbing the neighbors. The suction is also very good and it is easy to maneuver. I have had many vacuums. The last one was a Hoover which I bought only about six months ago and it was noisy and it kept breaking.

wow, love this vacuum. super powerful, feels solid/high quality, great suction, great air filtration, super super quiet -- my animals don't get freaked out by it, and you can carry on a conversation at normal volume while using it. amazingly light and maneuverable. i live in an apt, and found the cord length to be quite long for my needs. when purchased from this seller, it came with a hepa filter and 2 bags. i had a dyson animal ball before this, and feel that this is a much better vacuum in terms of quality, and experience (it's cheaper, lighter, quieter, cleans the air as well, extremely powerful, easier to maneuver). my 6'2" husband had no issues using this vacuum, as the metal pole attachment extends quite a lot for taller folks. haven't owned this for very long, so will report back after some time.

First let me start by saying, I hate to vacuum.................most people do. Our last vacuum purchase was an awful Oreck which my wife insisted we get, I defered to her wishes. She hated it from the moment we brought it home. Lasted a little over 2 years and began to fall apart, not minor stuff, but actively dying.
I got tired of having the problems with the Oreck, did some research and decided on this model. Not over the top, or under for that matter, as we have hard wood flooring and throw rugs. This vacuum is amazing. It is quiet, and POWERFUL!!!
I did not go for the turbohead and am glad I did not, as this unit as a stand-alone works wonders.
My only complaint is the one i see most often written, the cord is too short, but as this is a small unit, it makes sense.
I will have my wife write an update after a few months once the glow of newness has worn off, but for now I will say, if you need a powerful lightweight vacuum that suits all household needs, this here is the one.

Like most people I researched vacuum cleaners for a couple of weeks before deciding on the Miele. I had less than satisfying experiences with various cleaners in the past including Hoover and even Shop Vac's. I don't have a lot of carpet but I do have bare floors and rugs. I wanted something versatile with decent suction and something that didnt sound like an aeroplane when it runs. I am definately happy with the Miele purchase. It is nice and quiet, well made and has effective suction power. I have two cats and a dog and we all regularly track all sorts of dirt in from outdoors. I am also tall and I find the adjustable handle is capable of accomodating height for a relatively effortless vacuum. I am glad I paid a little more as it was definately worth it. I have owned this model for 8 months now and no complaints.

The vacuum works very good. It doesn't have a beater bar that spins but I can't see where that matters and neither can my wife.
It is very quiet compared to any other vacuum I have heard.
We bought the budget bags and my wife hasn't said anything negative about them.
If you're on the fence I say go for it
Cord is too short so get a six or eight foot extension cord. I took a star off for that
